THE JVPFI MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM:

Jesuit Volunteers Philippines Foundation, Inc . is looking for partner institutions for its new Part-time Volunteer Service Program!

We are looking for development organizations directly or indirectly serving the underprivileged and marginalized, and in need of part-time volunteers in any of the following areas:

  • Design and implementation of modules/courses/plans/programs
  • Documentation
  • Financial management
  • Fund-raising
  • Handling retreats/recollections
  • Information technology
  • Legal/paralegal
  • Medical
  • Network-building
  • Promotions/public relations and marketing
  • Production of audio-visual and print materials
  • Records management
  • Research
  • Others

PARTNERSHIPS AND ACCREDITED ACTIVITIES

PARTNERS

WHO ARE JVPFI PARTNERS IN THE MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM?

JVPFI partners are institutions/organizations:

  1. Whose vision, mission, and goals are consistent with JVPFI's vision, mission and goals;
  2. That have written partnership agreements with JVPFI; and
  3. Whose activities - involving volunteer service, spiritual formation, and education in national development - are recognized by JVPFI as automatically accredited activities of JVPFI members who participate in them.

ACCREDITED ACTIVITIES

WHAT ARE ACCREDITED ACTIVITIES?

JVPFI accredited activities are projects/activities organized by formal or informal groups:

  1. Whose vision, mission, and goals are consistent with JVPFI's vision, mission and goals (for informal groups, the objectives of the group are considered);
  2. That have written accreditation of its activities by JVPFI;
  3. Whose activities - involving volunteer service, spiritual formation, and education in national development - are recognized by JVPFI as automatically accredited activities of JVPFI members who participate in them.

WHAT CRITERIA ARE USED IN CHOOSING A PARTNER AND ACCREDITING ACTIVITIES?

1. Background of organization

  • Vision-mission
  • Program objectives
  • Safety and security

2. Nature and scope of work

  • Specific tasks
  • Specific work objective contributing to over-all program objective
  • Specific schedule for part-time volunteering
  • Specific point person for volunteers

3. Clientele served, directly or indirectly, are the underprivileged and marginalized

HOW DOES AN ORGANIZATION BECOME A PARTNER OR AN ACTIVITIY BECOME ACCREDITED?

  1. By invitation of JVPFI (only for partners), recommendation of JVPFI members and approval, or application
  2. To apply, obtain an application form from the JVPFI National Office or Local Chapters or download it from the JVPFI website.
  3. Accomplish the form and submit by email, conventional mail, or personal delivery to the Membership Officer of the Local Chapter where your institution is located. JVPFI has Local Chapters in Cagayan de Oro, Davao , Manila , Naga and Zamboanga Cities . (Click here for contact info of Membership Officer)
  4. Should your institution be outside of these areas, you may send your form to the Program Officer for Membership and Communications (POMC) in the National Office. The POMC may endorse the application to the nearest LC.
  5. Results of the application will be made known to the applying institution by conventional mail not later than three months from submission of application.
