As the country observed National Heroes Day on August 30, 2021, JVP honored the sacrifices of our heroes and the front-liners amid the prevailing coronavirus pandemic by effecting a special project in Quezon City. JVP shared t-shirts and jackets at Angels of Peace Academy Foundation, a pre-school and grade school catering to children with and without disabilities. Angels of Peace operates in North Olympus, Novaliches, QC, and is supporting five (5) community-based inclusive early childhood education centers to provide access to preparatory inclusive education to children with disabilities and other vulnerable children.

Unfortunately, they came to a hard painful decision to temporarily stop for this School Year 2021-2022 due to a big drop in the enrolment and they could no longer sustain the salaries of the teaching and non-teaching personnel. Despite the challenges they are facing, they hope to continue serving the vulnerable children, so they decided to put up a Community Thrift Store to support their Feed the Vulnerable Children Project. They wrote a letter to JVPFI requesting to support them by donating used clothing for their thrift store. JVPs Miah Tanchoco B19, Ray Yap B19, and Cecil Apigo B20/21 responded to this request and paid for all the JVP shirts and jackets left in the office. The items were all donated to the Angels of Peace Academy Foundation.
